Atlanta Photographer Maryann Davidson Photography Blog Post Quotes

I absolutely love quotes. Even as a child I found quotes in magazines, cut them out, and taped them to my bedroom wall. The fascinating thing about quotes, poems, stories, and lyrics is, depending on your state-of-mind at the time, those same words can have a different meaning than when you read or heard them previously. However, being a photographer I was taught that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” I understand that a photograph can often convey what takes many words to describe and can often tell many stories. On the other hand, the greatest novels inspire you to build your own pictures in your mind based on words alone. But why does it have to be one or the other?! When I was starting my first blog many years ago I placed a single quote at the end of my first post. My next few blog posts were absent of quotes. Some friends expressed that since I often share quotes, lyrics, poems, and random trivia I should transfer that theme into more of my posts. Well, that blog has come and gone. But since a few random quotes is what inspired me to start blogging again,  I thought for this blog I would combine photography with quotes. Sometimes the quotes are obvious and other times I was inspired to search for quotes based on a story or action during that particular photoshoot. So, a new quote (or quotes) will appear on this page for that date’s blog post.

I was inspired to quote quotes that inspired me 🙂

“By necessity, by proclivity, and by delight, we quote.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
